About this role
Afton Tickets is hiring an Associate Account Executive to find and win new fairs, rodeos, festivals, motorsports events and venues across the U.S. This is an outbound role: you’ll build your own pipeline by phone, email and LinkedIn, book your own meetings, and learn to close. Hit clear milestones, typically in about 3 months, and you move up to Account Executive with a higher base and commission.
This role is built for someone who already knows the live events world. If you’ve sold for a ticketing company, worked for a festival, fair, rodeo, venue or promoter, or sold to event organizers, we want to hear from you.
What you’ll do
- Research events and track down the real decision-makers, often a committee chair, board member or volunteer, not a listed contact
- Make daily outbound calls and emails, and reach out on LinkedIn
- Book qualified meetings, shadow demos, and learn our platform, pricing and how we beat other ticketing companies
- Keep activity, notes and follow-ups accurate in HubSpot
- Once promoted: run your own demos, write proposals, negotiate and close
How you’ll grow
Winter is when rodeos, fairs and outdoor events choose their ticketing partner for the next season. That’s when you’ll start building pipeline. Training is hands-on with our VP of Sales.
Once you hit clear milestones (booked meetings, demos run and your first closed deals), you’re promoted to Account Executive and your base and commission both go up. Experienced sellers can get there faster.
What we’re looking for
- Ticketing or live events experience is a must. You’ve sold for a ticketing platform, worked in events, venues, promoting or festival production, or sold products and services to event organizers. You understand how events plan, sell tickets and make decisions.
- 1+ year in a sales role with daily outbound cold calling
- You generate your own leads, not only work the ones you’re handed
- Confident on the phone with decision-makers; you handle rejection and keep going
- Organized, self-directed and reliable working remotely
- Coachable: you want feedback and act on it
- Willing to travel occasionally for conferences and client events
Big plus
- Existing relationships with fair boards, rodeo committees, festival producers or venue operators
- Experience selling against Eventbrite, Etix, Tixr, Rodeo Ticket or similar platforms
- HubSpot, Apollo or similar tools
Pay & benefits
- $55,000 base, rising to $60,000 on promotion to Account Executive
- Uncapped commission on every client you bring in, plus bonuses for qualified meetings
- Expected first-year earnings: $62,000–$70,000, and $75,000+ in year two as an Account Executive
- Health and dental insurance after 90 days
- 1 week paid time off + 1 week paid sick leave
- All tools provided: HubSpot, Apollo, sales materials, branded email
