About this role
Apple is a place where extraordinary people gather to do their best work. Our community is made up of every kind of individual: artists and designers, engineers and scientists, thinkers and doers. Together we create things and experiences people once couldn’t have imagined — and now can’t imagine living without.
So if you’re excited by the idea of making a real impact, a career with Apple might be your dream job. Just be ready to dream big.
We're looking for a Module System Engineer to design and deploy the test instruments that validate our camera and battery modules, from prototype through high-volume manufacturing. You'll build test fixtures, automated test sequences, and data acquisition systems; commission them at our factories; and use them to drive root-cause analysis when modules fail.
Your work will directly shape the quality and reliability of modules used in consumer electronics, including smartphones, tablets, laptops, and wearable devices.
This is a generalist role. Prior camera or battery experience is a plus but not required — you'll build module domain knowledge on the job. What we need is strong fundamentals in test system design, electrical measurement, and problem-solving in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field with experience in electrical design Experience in test equipment hardware design or hardware validation engineering for PCBs, flex circuits, or System-in-Package (SiP)
Master's degree in a relevant engineering field with 3+ years of hands-on experience in electrical design, development, and factory testing for consumer electronics Experience with camera and/or battery module testing Experience supporting factory builds, contributing to or leading FACA, and managing line-down issues in fast-paced production environments Working knowledge of industry interfaces and test standards (e.g.
MIPI, I2C, USB, SPMI, ACI) Familiarity with factory test equipment, end-to-end validation methods, and data interpretation for quality control Programming or scripting proficiency (e.g. Python, Lua, MATLAB, LabVIEW, C++) for test automation, data processing, or analysis Experience with statistical analysis methods (SPC, DOE, Six Sigma) Demonstrated ability to learn new technical domains quickly
