About Mercor
Mercor's mission is to organize human intelligence to power the AI economy. We're a leading AI data company, building the layer between human expertise and frontier models. Millions of domain experts on the platform are paid over $4 million per day to train frontier AI models.
Mercor's APEX benchmark family measures AI's real-world impact on professional work. Mercor Enterprise brings this same infrastructure to Fortune 500 companies: helping companies capture how their best people actually work, translating that expertise directly back into agents.
Mercor is creating a new category of work where expertise powers AI advancement. Achieving this requires an ambitious, fast-paced and deeply committed team. You’ll work alongside researchers, operators, and AI companies at the forefront of shaping the systems that are redefining society.
Mercor is a profitable Series C company valued at $10 billion. We work in-person five days a week in our San Francisco, NYC, or London offices.
The role
Mercor is hiring at a pace few companies ever reach. New people start every week across Engineering, Product, Delivery and Operations, and the programs that welcome, develop and keep them need to run with the same precision as the rest of the business.
As People Programs Specialist, you'll run Mercor's core employee programs day to day: universal onboarding, manager development and employee experience. You'll be the first face new hires meet, the operator who keeps every cohort on schedule, and the person who turns participant feedback and program data into clear recommendations for People leadership.
You'll partner closely with Talent, Strategic Operations, IT, Workplace, Finance and managers across the company. This is a hands-on role for someone who has run People programs before and wants to run them at a company scaling this fast.
What you'll do
Universal onboarding
- Run company-wide onboarding cohorts end to end, from pre-start logistics and communication through day one, orientation and 30, 60 and 90 day check-ins
- Host and facilitate onboarding sessions that give every new hire a strong, consistent foundation before their function-specific training starts
- Send managers a weekly start list with enough lead time to prepare, and coordinate IT, Workplace and Talent so every person is set up on day one
- Partner with Strategic Operations on the handoff into function-specific onboarding and ongoing upskilling
- Track completion, new hire survey results and manager-reported ramp, and report trends and recommended improvements to the Head of People
Manager development
- Operate Mercor's manager development program: cohort scheduling, participant communication, facilitator coordination and session logistics
- Collect attendance, feedback and outcome data, and prepare program reviews for People leadership
Employee experience
- Run perks, recognition and community programs, from day-to-day administration and employee questions to vendor management and spend tracking against budget
- Keep program policies clear and current, and communicate them so people actually read them
- Bring forward ideas for new programs, with the cost, the problem they solve and how we'd measure them
People resources
- Maintain the People resource hub so employees and managers can find answers without asking
- Write and maintain runbooks and employee-facing guides for every program you run
- Use our ticketing and knowledge base tools, and AI, to reduce repeat questions and manual work
What we're looking for
Proven program experience
- 3 to 5+ years of hands-on program management in People programs, onboarding, learning and development, employee experience or People operations, ideally at a high-growth technology company [confirm range]
- You've run a company-wide onboarding program or a comparable recurring program across many teams, and can show how you measured and improved it
- Experience coordinating vendors, budgets and external facilitators
Operational excellence
- Exceptional organization and attention to detail across several programs running at once
- Ability to independently own high-volume, time-sensitive processes and resolve problems without escalation, while knowing when a decision belongs with someone else
- Comfort with data: survey results, completion analytics and spreadsheets, turned into clear findings
Communication and presence
- Confident facilitator, comfortable in front of a room of new hires or a group of managers
- Clear, warm writing for employees, managers and outside partners
- A people-first presence: you're the person employees trust to point them in the right direction
Startup intensity
- High urgency and ownership of execution, in an environment that moves fast and changes often
- Fluent with AI tools and actively looking for ways to make People work faster and more accurate
- High discretion with confidential employee information
Nice to haves
- Experience running onboarding or employee programs at a company scaling quickly past several hundred people
- Experience with Rippling, Notion and a ticketing or service desk tool
- Event or offsite planning at scale
- Working knowledge of leave, benefits or employment compliance
Why join Mercor
- Run the programs that shape how people experience one of the fastest-scaling AI companies in the world
- Work directly with Mercor's Head of People on programs that reach every employee
- Competitive base and meaningful equity
