Role Overview
The Occupational Therapist plans and implements treatment programs for patients across all age groups, following accepted practices. They collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and provide coverage across various settings, including inpatient, outpatient orthopedics, and neurologic rehabilitation. The role involves floating to different locations to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent (required)
- Doctorate (OTD) or Master’s (MOT) in Occupational Therapy (required); relevant education accepted for candidates prior to 2007
- Preferred: At least one year of clinical experience
- Certification/Licensure:
+ Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required within 90 days)
+ Licensed Occupational Therapist from the appropriate licensing body (required)
Key Skills & Responsibilities
- Develop and execute individualized treatment plans based on patient needs
- Collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams
- Provide coverage across multiple clinical settings, including acute and outpatient care
