Role:
Occupational Therapist responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing rehabilitative programs to improve patients' daily activities, mobility, cognitive functions, strength, and range of motion. Services are delivered across the continuum, ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct patient assessments and collaborate with physicians to develop and evaluate treatment plans and discharge strategies.
- Implement and adjust therapy interventions, selecting appropriate activities to meet patient goals, and provide education to patients and families.
- Document evaluations, treatment sessions, and discharge instructions according to departmental standards.
- Maintain ethical practices, confidentiality, punctuality, and proper attire while communicating effectively with team members.
- Participate in staff meetings, training, and process improvements, ensuring workload organization and resource safety.
- Deliver excellent customer service by fostering teamwork, applying AIDET principles, and promoting a positive environment.
- Engage in ongoing professional development, complete required certifications, and support training of new staff.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy program; Bachelor's or Master's degree required.
- Licensure as an Occupational Therapist and BLS certification required.
- Effective communication, customer service orientation, teamwork, and basic computer skills.
