Role Overview:

The Occupational Therapist assesses, plans, and participates in rehabilitative programs to restore or improve patients' daily functioning, mobility, cognition, strength, coordination, and range of motion. Services are delivered across the continuum in a cost-effective, quality-focused, and customer-oriented manner, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and adjust treatment plans based on patient progress and input from patients and families.
  • Provide patient and family education, discharge instructions, and referrals to community resources.
  • Collaborate with physicians to establish and evaluate treatment programs, goals, and discharge plans.
  • Document evaluations, treatment sessions, and discharge details according to departmental guidelines.
  • Maintain ethical practices, confidentiality, punctuality, and effective communication.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training, and quality improvement activities.
  • Promote positive patient experiences through excellent customer service and teamwork.
  • Engage in professional development, mandatory education, and licensure maintenance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • Active license as an Occupational Therapist and BLS certification.
  • Effective communication, customer service focus, teamwork, and basic computer skills.
