The ideal candidate possesses a solid technical understanding (without needing to write code), excels at translating business needs into actionable technical requirements, and feels confident making autonomous prioritizations on behalf of stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
1. Product Ownership & Agile Delivery

- Stakeholder Prioritization:
Act as the central filter for incoming marketing requests and improvements. Confidently evaluate competing demands, negotiate priorities, build consensus, and make "game-time" prioritization decisions during active development cycles.
- IT & Engineering Liaison:
Partner closely with IT engineering teams to manage sprint capacity, track deliverables, resolve production issues, and clear day-to-day blockers.
2.
Platform Operations & Technical
Support
- Enterprise CMS Operations:
Serve as a functional platform champion for our enterprise web CMS (Sitecore preference), supporting internal content authors on technical workflows and troubleshooting production issues.
- Site Performance & Health:
Monitor core web vitals, site performance metrics, URL structures, and technical platform stability to maintain high reliability and performance across digital properties.
- Deployment Operations:
Oversee release deployment flows, including User Acceptance Testing (UAT) sign-offs.
Note
Direct support is required for scheduled platform releases occurring
every 5 weeks on Thursday evenings (after business hours)
.
3. Data-Driven Insights & Continuous Improvement
- Data Utilization:
Leverage Google Analytics (GA4) and Salesforce data to analyze site performance, validate business cases, and inform backlog prioritization decisions.
- Process Efficiency:
Maintain clear, organized project documentation and establish standard operational workflows to ensure consistent execution across sprints.
(Note: Visual UI/UX design and creative production are owned by a dedicated internal team and are not within the scope of this role.)
Qualifications & Key Requirements
Must-Have Qualifications:
- Prior Product Owner Experience:
Proven track record in a dedicated Product Owner or Website Operations Manager role, directly managing development sprint cycles and partner IT execution teams.

High proficiency in Jira workflow management, backlog administration, and Confluence documentation.
- Enterprise Web CMS Experience:
Direct experience managing or administering enterprise-grade CMS platforms (
Sitecore
experience is a strong plus).

Hands-on experience using
Google Analytics (GA4)
and CRM data (Salesforce) to guide technical product decisions.
- After-Hours Release Support:
Willingness and capability to support scheduled deployment windows every 5 weeks (Thursday after-hours).
Required Core Competencies:
- Strong Technical Comprehension:
Ability to speak the language of developers, understand web deployment flows (Dev -> UAT -> Prod), and digest technical concepts without being a software engineer.
- Independent Initiative & Accountability:
Self-directed worker who proactively identifies next steps, takes full ownership of outcomes, and operates independently without needing routine oversight.
- Advanced Stakeholder Management:
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a demonstrated ability to navigate challenging inter-team dynamics, drive consensus, and manage conflicting feedback with tact and assertiveness.
- Strong Organizational Skills:
Meticulous note-taking, clear task tracking, and steady project execution skills.
