Company Description

PortfolioFuture is an independent fund discovery and intelligence company focused on empirical research into ETFs and mutual funds. The organization evaluates and ranks funds, analyzes substitution and relative performance, and decomposes investable returns to help investors and financial advisors understand what each fund truly contributes to a portfolio.

For asset managers, PortfolioFuture connects independent fund research with portfolio and ownership intelligence to highlight credible competitive positions and relevant distribution opportunities. Its research is strictly independent, with no commercial relationships influencing rankings, results, or which funds are surfaced, ensuring objective insights.

PortfolioFuture is driven by the belief that better products deserve a fair chance to win.

Role Description

The User Experience Researcher internship is a remote role focused on understanding how users interact with PortfolioFuture’s tools, insights, and digital touchpoints. Interns will plan and conduct user research activities such as interviews, surveys, usability tests, and task analyses, and synthesize findings into actionable recommendations.

Day-to-day responsibilities include collaborating with product and design partners, creating research plans, documenting user journeys, and presenting insights that inform product decisions and interface improvements. The intern will help refine user workflows, test prototypes, and support the development of intuitive experiences for investors, financial advisors, and asset managers.

This is an internship position designed to offer hands-on experience in UX research within a data-driven financial technology environment.
