NVR, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer to work on site in Reston, VA.

Summary
As a Software Engineer, you will be part of a small, highly collaborative team responsible for developing and supporting technology solutions for NVR’s Sales, Marketing, and Customer Service business lines.
The role combines application development on the Microsoft technology stack with a growing focus on data solutions. You will build and support applications, services, and integrations using .NET, C#, SQL, and Azure, and you will help the team design and deliver data solutions in Microsoft Fabric that support reporting and analytics across the organization.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Design, develop, enhance, and support applications and backend services using .NET, C#, SQL, and Microsoft Azure.
- Develop and maintain APIs and system integrations connecting internal applications, enterprise platforms, and third-party systems.
- Build and support data solutions in Microsoft Fabric, including data pipelines, lakehouses, and data structures that support business reporting and analytics.
- Partner with business data analysts to prepare well-structured, reliable data models that support Power BI reporting.
- Work directly with Product Managers, business stakeholders, and fellow engineers to understand requirements and translate business needs into effective technical solutions.
- Participate throughout the software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, solution design, development, testing, deployment, documentation, and production support.
- Troubleshoot application, integration, and data issues, identify root causes, and implement sustainable solutions.
- Collaborate effectively within a small, cross-functional team and contribute to a culture of shared accountability and continuous learning.
Job Qualifications
- 3+ years of professional software development experience building and supporting enterprise applications.
- Strong development experience with C#, .NET, SQL Server, and Microsoft Azure.
- Experience developing data-driven applications, services, APIs, and enterprise system integrations.
- Working knowledge of data concepts such as data modeling, data structures, pipelines, and lakehouses, with the ability to grow into more advanced data solution work.
- Experience effectively using modern AI-assisted development tools, such as GitHub Copilot or similar tools, to improve development productivity while maintaining strong engineering judgment, code quality, and security.
- Ability to independently troubleshoot technical problems and deliver high-quality solutions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work directly with both technical teams and business stakeholders.
- Ability to work effectively in a small, collaborative team, take ownership of assigned work, and adapt as business priorities evolve.
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Synapse, Azure Data Factory, or similar data platforms is a plus.
- Experience preparing data models and datasets to support Power BI reporting is a plus.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 or the Power Platform is a plus.
- Experience supporting sales, marketing, or customer-facing business functions is a plus.

This position pays $95,000 - $105, 000 per year. Individual pay is determined by factors including the candidate’s job-related skills, experience, relevant education, and location.
