Role Overview:
This position involves providing skilled occupational therapy services to patients through evaluations and treatments. The role requires establishing treatment plans, considering discharge needs, functional status, and necessary equipment.
It includes educating and collaborating with patients, families, and healthcare providers, making referrals as needed, and delegating tasks to assistants, techs, and students based on their competency levels. Accurate documentation in accordance with departmental policies is essential, along with conducting assessments, reassessments, and consultations for occupational therapy.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy (OT)
- Valid Driver’s License and Occupational Therapist License
- No prior experience required; supervision experience is not mandatory
- Preferred candidates may hold a Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy
Additional Information:
- Support may be needed during alternate hours, including weekends
- Potential for community-based work and mileage reimbursement at IRS rates
- Position is PRN, not benefit-eligible, with normal hours Monday through Friday
