Role:

The Occupational Therapist assesses, plans, and implements rehabilitative programs to restore or improve patients' daily activities, mobility, cognition, strength, coordination, and range of motion. Services are delivered across the continuum, focusing on quality, cost-effectiveness, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with physicians to establish and evaluate treatment plans, goals, and discharge strategies.
  • Develop personalized care plans with patient and family input.
  • Implement treatment activities, monitor progress, and revise plans as needed.
  • Provide patient and family education, discharge instructions, and community resource referrals.
  • Document evaluations, treatment sessions, education, and discharge plans per departmental standards.
  • Maintain confidentiality, adhere to ethical practices, and demonstrate cultural sensitivity.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and participate in meetings and training.
  • Utilize resources safely and efficiently, observe infection control, and promote excellent customer service.
  • Engage in professional development, complete required competencies, and support onboarding of new staff.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy program (Bachelor's or Master's degree required).
  • Licensure as an Occupational Therapist and BLS certification.
  • Effective communication, customer service orientation, teamwork, and basic computer skills.
