The company is a global pioneer of AESA tactical radars for active military protection, counter-drone applications, critical infrastructure protection, and border surveillance.

About the Role

DRS RADA Technologies is seeking a full-time Senior Systems Engineer with a focus in Radar Signal Processing to define radar system architectures, develop concepts of operations, and design radar-processing algorithms. You will help evaluate radar performance using real and simulated data.

This is a hands-on senior engineering role in a dynamic, collaborative development environment supporting multiple research and development efforts. You will work closely with internal teams, external customers, and related programs to deliver technically sound solutions.

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, mathematics, computer science, or a related technical field,
  • At least five years of relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of radar technology and the ability to develop technical solutions to complex problems.
  • Experience working with Git and MATLAB, as well as performance analysis.
  • Ability to work directly with customers to define requirements, evaluate trades, establish solutions, and understand implementation and system impacts.
  • U.S. citizenship and an active DoD Secret-level security clearance, or the ability to obtain one within a reasonable time after employment begins.

What You'll Do

Radar System Development

  • Develop signal-processing approaches, waveforms, electronic-protection methods, and radar search, track, and discrimination designs.
  • Apply phased-array and digital-beamforming technology to radar-system solutions.
  • Analyze, design, develop, document, and support testing of products, systems, and subsystems.
  • Independently complete technical projects while driving technology development.

Analyze, Integrate &

Deliver

  • Perform statistical and numerical analysis of radar performance data using real and/or simulated data.
  • Support the integration and test of large systems, including radar systems integrated into counter-defensive systems.
  • Develop and maintain component and subsystem specifications, material requirements, and other technical documentation.
  • Communicate clearly with engineering, program management, customers, and other stakeholders.

Collaborate & Grow Others

  • Provide technical expertise and assistance to engineers and support personnel.
  • Work with customers to define requirements, solutions, trades, implementation approaches, system impacts, and effectiveness.
  • Mentor and coach others when assigned, and reinforce the mission, values, and culture of Leonardo DRS.

The salary range for this position is $107,089.00/year-$144,570.00/year. This range reflects the good faith estimate of pay the employer is willing to offer at the time of posting.

Several factors can influence the pay scale, including but not limited to: Federal contract labor categories and contract wage rates, collective bargaining agreements, geographic location, business considerations, scope, and responsibilities of the position, local or other applicable market conditions, and internal equity.

Other factors include the candidate’s qualifications such as prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education/training, and certifications. In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible for: annual performance-based bonuses, equity awards, and overtime pay (for non-exempt employees as applicable.
