Python Test Automation Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Python Test Automation Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks and quality engineering solutions. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Python-based automation, API testing, UI automation, CI/CD integration, and software quality assurance methodologies.

This role requires close collaboration with developers, product owners, and DevOps teams to ensure high-quality software delivery across multiple platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust test automation frameworks using Python.
• Create and execute automated test scripts for Web, API, Database, and Microservices applications. Develop and implement automated regression, smoke, integration, and end-to-end test suites. Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, DevOps, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI/CD.
• Collaborate with development teams to identify test requirements and improve application testability.
• Perform API testing using tools and frameworks such as PyTest, Requests, Postman, and REST Assured equivalents.
• Automate UI testing using Selenium WebDriver, Playwright, or Cypress.
• Design test strategies and quality metrics to improve software reliability and performance.
• Review code and automation scripts to ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices. Analyze test results, troubleshoot defects, and work closely with development teams for resolution. Mentor junior automation engineers and provide technical leadership on automation initiatives.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Backlog Grooming, and Retrospectives.
• Drive continuous improvement in automation coverage, framework efficiency, and testing processes.
