Responsibilities

• Assess patients and develop treatment plans to restore and improve physical, social and mental functions.
• Implement and adjust therapeutic interventions to meet individualized goals within the patient’s program.
• Serve as co-leader in an interdisciplinary team, collaborating with colleagues from related disciplines on patient groups.
• Document patient progress, outcomes, and adjust plans as needed; participate in discharge planning and transition of care.
• Educate patients and families on activities of daily living, safety, and home exercise programs; promote functional independence.

Requirements

• Active occupational therapy license (as required by the assignment location)
• NBCOT certification
• Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an ACOTE-accredited program
• General OT experience; acute care experience preferred
• Ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team; strong communication skills
• Eligible for travel assignments; ability to travel as required
