Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and flexible PRN Physical Therapist to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this role, you will provide specialized physical therapy services to diverse patient populations with in-clinic and experiential setting options. Your expertise will help patients regain independence, improve functional abilities, and enhance their overall quality of life.
This position offers the opportunity to work on a PRN basis, allowing you to contribute your skills where and when needed, making a meaningful impact in patients’ recovery journeys.
Responsibilities
- Assess patients’ physical and cognitive abilities through detailed evaluations, including physiology and anatomy knowledge, to develop personalized care plans.
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence.
- Implement therapeutic interventions tailored to specific populations, including pediatrics, individuals with disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, and those working towards emotional regulation goals.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams on discharge planning and case management to ensure seamless patient transitions across care settings.
- Educate patients and their families on therapy techniques, adaptive equipment use, and safety measures to support ongoing progress at home or in community environments.
- Document patient progress accurately in medical records while adhering to healthcare regulations and medical terminology standards.
Experience
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities in school or community settings.
- Familiarity with discharge planning processes and case management practices.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and the application of physical therapy principles in various clinical scenarios.
- Experience providing therapy services in pediatrics—including early intervention—or outpatient clinics is preferred.
Pay: $40.00 - $70.00 per hour
