  • The BSP Software Engineer will be responsible for the design, development, integration, testing, debugging, and maintenance of Kernel and QNX software for Company next-generation In-Flight Entertainment (IFE) seat boxes. The engineers will work closely with hardware, platform software, Android, and system integration, and validation teams to enable and support QNX-based platform functionality from bootloader through operating system and device driver layers.
  • Develop and test high quality client software applications in embedded systems from functional and system specifications.
  • Enhance existing software to optimize performance to meet KPIs, improve efficiency, and bolster robustness.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional teams in an Agile/DevOps environment.
  • Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives to ensure project success.
  • Create and execute comprehensive test plans and procedures to ensure software functionality and performance.
  • Implement rigorous testing processes, including functional testing, regression testing, and performance benchmarking
  • Conduct thorough code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members, fostering a culture of excellence.
  • Actively contribute to all phases of the software development lifecycle, from initial design to deployment and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Linux Kernel and device driver development, debugging, and testing.
  • Hands-on experience in Board Bring-up.
  • Experience in optimizing system performance and memory.
  • Strong programming skills in C/C++, Python and competence with scripting languages.
  • Knowledge of communication protocols like UART, SPI, I2C, Ethernet, and USB.
  • Experience with operating system development, security protocols, and updates.
  • Understanding of hypervisors and virtualization technologies.
  • Understanding of boot processes and flows.
  • Experience with test automation tools and techniques.
  • Proficiency in Agile methodologies, DevOps practices, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills and a high level of interpersonal skills

Mandatory Skills:

  • 10+ years of experience in embedded software development.
  • Experience with infotainment systems based on Qualcomm SoCs.
  • Familiarity with QNX Hypervisor.
  • Understanding of TCP/IP and HTTP/HTTPS protocols.
  • Familiarity with wireless technologies (Bluetooth, WiFi), satellite connectivity solutions

The pay range that the employer in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is $36.06/hour - $56.34/hour. Our benefits include medical, dental, vision and retirement benefits. Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis.
