Job description
Designs, develops, tests, and maintains non-embedded software throughout the end-to-end lifecycle that meets industry, customer, safety, and regulation standards. Reviews, analyzes, and translates customer requirements into initial design of software products. Develops, maintains, enhances and optimizes software products and functionalities for systems integrations.
Develops, documents and maintains architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software products. Debugs and resolves issues identified to ensure the reliability and efficiency of software products. Handles user inquiries, troubleshoots technical issues and user feedback analysis.
Implements current and emerging technologies, tools, frameworks and changes in regulations relevant to software development. Develops, establishes, monitors and improves software processes, tools and key performance metrics that align projects with organizational goals and industry benchmarks. Executes and documents software research and development projects.
Advises on software domains, system-specific issues, processes and regulations. Performs software project management activities and software supplier management functions. Tracks and evaluates software team and supplier performance to ensure product and process compliance to project plans and industry standards.
Position Responsibilities:
- Supporting software development on agile teams which are tasked with integrating/implementing solutions onto a platform
- Developing high fidelity simulation and environment software and tool sets to enable rapid development, test, and deployment of high-quality software solutions for the war-fighter
- Uses analytical problem-solving skills to resolve problems for the company and suppliers
- Uses engineering skills to deliver improved capabilities to both the warfighter and maintainers
- Applies engineering knowledge to continuously improve processes and tools
- Applies knowledge of engineering principles to conduct analysis
Security Clearance and Export Control Requirements:
This position requires the ability to obtain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance for which the US Government requires U.S. Citizenship.
Ability to obtain Secret U.S. Security clearance (Post-Start).
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):
- Ability to obtain a Secret U.S. Security clearance (Post-Start)
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or other technical degree
- 5+ years of professional experience as a Software Engineer, developing using any of the following languages: Ada, C++, C, C#
- This position is located in Oklahoma City, OK. Candidates must be able to relocate if not already living in the local area.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Experience with Weapons software (i.e. MIL-STD-1760 or UAI) development
- Experience developing embedded real-time software and hardware
- Experience working with Real-time Operating Systems (RTOS)
- Experience with Agile software development
- Experience with modern software development tools (e.g. Jira, Confluence, Jenkins, Git)
- Experience developing models and simulation
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate with stakeholders of different backgrounds and skill levels

Pay Rate Range
85 - 90 USD hourly
