The Software Engineer SkillBridge Intern will apply software development skills to support technology projects across their lifecycle, including development, customer interaction, and transition, with opportunities to work on cloud-native applications, data analysis tools, and machine learning capabilities.

Responsibilities

Support the lifecycle of technology projects from inception to development, to leadership, to customer-interfacing, to transition Help build innovative solutions for our customers Creating cloud-native web applications, advanced data analysis tools, and new machine learning capabilities Develops and implements technical solutions on an aggressive schedule across the US Intelligence Community (IC) and the Department of Defense (DoD) Apply proven and repeatable technical and analytical approaches and frequent interaction with end users to produce and deploy the appropriate capabilities Building and deploying machine learning models and artificial intelligence applications Full-stack software development and software integration capabilities for traditional, cloud, and hybrid-cloud environments

Qualifications: Actively using their software development skills and/or have a computer science background A completed Bachelor of Science degree or candidates who are close to completion of a BS degree and/or a coding Bootcamp.

A completed Associates degree may also be considered Three to six months (or more) of technical experience MUST be willing to get the TS/SCI CI Poly, if you do not already have one 6 months - 1 year+ of some level of Technical experience (hopefully in software) needed for MOST of our opportunities Proficient in at least ONE Object-Oriented language like Java, Python, C# or C++ - NOT All, just ONE OO language Experience with at least ONE MVC framework, perhaps including Spring, Django, Flask or Rails Experience with at least ONE relational database, such as MySQL, PostgreSQL or sqlite3 Experience working with Linux distributions like Ubuntu, RedHat, or CentOS Working knowledge of web application basics like HTTP, HTML, REST, CSS, and JavaScript Technical degrees are preferred (e.g., Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Information Systems, etc.)

Proficient in at least one scripting language like Python or Perl Familiar with web server configuration on NGINX, Apache, or similar Familiar with a JavaScript framework like Backbone, Angular, Ember or Vue.js Familiar with Bootstrap and Less Experience with NoSQL storage like ElasticSearch, Accumulo, MongoDB, HBase is a plus
